Vous pensiez en avori fini avec l'article d'hier sur les jetons... c'est mal me connaitre je ne lache jamais l'affaire...

Voici donc les résultats d'une étude faite par un Professeur indépendant et ses étudiants qui ont récupéré des jetons dans 5 casinos du strip de Las Vegas et bien entendu tout cela incognito. Ensuite ils ont laissé les bactéries se développer en laboratoire...

Au final un seul jeton échantillon d'un casino a présenté 5 600 micro organismes... c'est beaucoup et peu en même temps... donc pas de danger... les autres présentant un taux de 2 600 en moyenne. 

Sauf que la bactérie la plus retrouvée est le Staphylocoque... une belle saleté. ici Bien que présente sur la peau cette bactérie a été retrouvée en grosse quantité sur les jetons. Cette petite bête provoque quand même la mort de 80 000 personnes par an aux US.

Alors un conseil quand vous jouez en cercle, casinos ou autres grands lieux de passage pensez à vous lavez les mains régulièrement. Et évitez de sortir de table et de filer au Mac Do d'en face pour manger un burger, sinon vous allez revenir avec des lèvres infectées style mamouths...

Les conseils sont le suivants:

How to Clean Chips

• Use a very soft bristled toothbrush.
• Let experts clean very old or expensive chips.
• A pencil eraser is good for removing scuffs and crud from old chips.
• These cleaners have been reported to have good results cleaning chips:  mild dishwashing detergent, Armor All Multi-Purpose Cleaner, Quick'n'Brite, Sterling Magic.
• The trick seems to be to find something that will dissolve the greasy deposits that accumulate on well used chips, without removing any ink, or leeching moisture from the chip. Quick'n'Brite is a thick paste, and does not seem to encourage any moisture transfer, while doing an excellent job of breaking down the greasy gunk. I just stick the chip in the bucket edgewise, rotate it a few time to coat the chip thoroughly, wait about 15-30 seconds, then wipe the chip down with a washcloth. It's revolting how dirty that washcloth gets after only a few chips.
• I use Sterling Magic full strength with a toothbrush. I use no water and just wipe clean with a cloth. It has never, never, ever dried the chip out or caused it to fade. If the chip has a hot stamp, I don't use the toothbrush on that part, I just dab a little on with my finger and gently wipe it off with the cloth.
• I clean virtually all of my chips except those that come straight from the cage and have never seen play. I have also experienced no fading or drying out. The pink goop (Sterling Magic) is great stuff.
• I've been using Armor All Multi-Purpose Cleaning with fantastic results for the past year, no damage to chip, luster and shine are still there...and it cleans the chip.  Don't use any other Armor All product i.e., tire cleaner, window, bug, etc.
• Waterless hand cleaner, non abrasive, with lanolin and a bath of johnson baby oil will restore the luster. Give it a bath of oil, let soak for an hour or so on a bath towel turn once after a while wipe dry.  Regular mineral oil is too oily
• I use a soft toothbrush & Fantastik. I spray both sides of the chip & clean the dirt off with the toothbrush & then rinse under warm water. I dry the chip with a paper towel. I then use a VERY small amount of mineral oil (which brings out the true colors of the chip which may have been lost over time or due to cleaning) rubbed between two fingers & work it into the chip. That entire process should not take more than a minute. I'll then let the chip dry for 24 hours on one side & turn it over & let dry for another 24 hours before storing the chip.
• I used a soft children's tooth brush and window cleaner.  Hot stamps will turn from gold to silver, so they get covered with my thumb and I only clean the mold designs. Chipco, Paulson graphics BJ and others of like design are much more durable.
•  I don't clean many of my chips, but when I do I use Amway's L.O.C. (Liquid Organic Cleaner and a baby's tooth brush (much softer than a regular soft toothbrush.)  I put a few drops of L.O.C. on the chip and brush very lightly. I so this to remove the surface dirt. If the chip is extremely dirty I generally leave it alone. It sometimes looks better dirty.
• Try Johnson & Johnson baby gel instead of oils to restore the luster. I've been told this by a noted chip collector and restorer.
• Crest and seals - Clean with a 3M scouring pad or wet/dry sandpaper. Then bring back coloring with Johnson & Johnson Baby Gel.  (Note: the 3M scouring pad is non-abrasive, it is sold for cleaning dishes.)

How NOT to Clean Chips

• Don't clean the hot stamp with a toothbrush, only gently rub the cleaner in with your fingers.
• Never use anything abrasive to clean your chips.
• Don't use steam to clean clay chips, the steam will heat the chip until it softens and will warp.
• I did ruin a batch of old clays once by putting them in the washing machine with bleach and Tide, it messed them up pretty bad and was very loud to boot.
• I find tying them up in an old T-shirt and running them through the washing machine cycle usually does the trick. However, for that really tough grime that gets lodged down in the bottom of the cane in the hat&cane or the crevices in a small key mold, there's really nothing like a good stiff wire brush and some elbow grease.   A little vaseline to bring out the colors when you're done, and Viola! (This is meant as a joke.)
• Do not clean a hot stamped chip with a toothbrush, instead gently rub with your fingers
• I have had very good luck with Sterling's Magic cleaner. However, when I cleaned some old Mint roulettes (this is the series with the small crown mold and a round white inlay) I ended up removing a thin clear plastic cap that covers the inlay.
• Once I was cleaning (I think a Diamond Jim) inlay chip with what I usually use -- dove hand soap bar, toothbrush pared down and warm water, and water got under and discolored the inlay.  I think it must have happened because the inlay was weak/lifting some/damaged.
• Once I really screwed up.  I had a lot of dried out, faded embossed style poker chips (maybe the Golfer wearing knickers)  I often rub chips like these with sewing machine oil (or mineral oil, or Vitamin E liquid).  I'd apply the oil and rub it off right away with a paper towel.....But
  this time I left all the chips in a pot on mineral oil overnight, and in the morning a found them practically ruined.  As I remember, the main
  problem was that rings and crescents were left on the chips where one chip rested on another.

Et gaffe ça peut donner ça si vous suivez pas les instructions...

Bon moralité de l'histoire on peut aller jouer sans gant aux casinos car il semble qu'ils aient une politique de lavage des jetons, mais je n'arrive pas à trouver d'informations dessus... pour ce qui est de la france je demanderai à mes amis des cercles de jeux...

Les chips et l'hygiène...

Je suis comme qui dirait un fou furieux de l'hygiène, je me lave les mains 10 fois par jour (oui je sais ça se soigne) et j'ai du mal à poser mes mains dans les lieux publics alors je vous explique pas la poignée des toilettes publics quand je dois y aller ou encore mieux le métro...

Bref j'ai toujours à l'esprit le fameux bol de cacahouètes sur le comptoir de bar où on y detecte plus de 20 urines dfférentes... no comment. C'est fou ce qu'on transporte sur nos mains dans des lieux publics.

de plus il faut reconnaitre que la France n'est pas le pays de l'hygiène non plus. Quelques chiffres font frémir comme l'hygiène bucale...  En moyenne, les français se contentent chaque année de moins de 2 brosses à dent, alors que 4 sont préconisées. De même, ils n'achètent que 3,5 tubes de dentifrice là ou 6 seraient nécessaires.

Bref on est pas aseptisé comme les Américains mais bon c'est pas dans notre culture de se laver tous les jours.

Vous avez compris je pense aux jetons... car la question m'a toujours effleuré l'esprit mais le jeu est toujours plus fort... en attendant voici d'autres chiffres, j'en ai trouvé sur Entrevue...

65% des Francais ne se lavent pas les mains avant de passer à table. Quant à ceux qui le font, ils sont 25% à ne pas utiliser de savon mais de l'eau claire.

25% c'est le pourcentage de Français qui se lavent les cheveux une fois tous les 3 jours. Ils sont 54% à les shampouiner tous les jours. On craint le pire pour les 21% restants.

30% prés d'un tiers des Francais ne change pas de calecon quotidiennement. Que les femmes ne fassent pas la moue, leur comportement n'est guère plus glorieux : 9% d'entre elles gardent la même culotte trois jours et plus...

62% En France, il ne fait pas bon être dentiste. 38% des Francais consultent au moins une fois par an. Ils sont donc 62% à ne pas passer la visite annuelle conseillée pour une bonne hygiène bucco-dentaire.

66% ne se déchaussent pas en rentrant chez eux. Ils sèment ainsi, dans la maison, tous les germes récoltés dehors aprés avoir marché dans les crachats, fientes de pigeons et autres crottes de chien...

35% d'entre eux n'utilisent jamais de déodorant corporel. Vive l'été...

3,8% Ce pourcentage va faire frémir : pres de 2,3 millions ne prennent jamais ni douche ni bain... helppppppp !!!! Qu'on se rassure, 67% de nos concitoyens se douchent chaque jour... Le reste ça doit être une douche par semaine max.

Bon pourquoi ces chiffres ? parce que je me pose la question sur les chips...

Et oui on joue avec des heures durant, les faisant rouler entre nos doigts... sans qu'aucun lavage de nos jetons ne soient fait. De plus durant de longues heures de jeu on boit on mange... alors faut il améner sa lingette quand on joue ?

Faut il se protéger... jouer avec des gants héhéhéhé...

La question finale est: que peut on attrapper quand on touche ces petites choses dans les grands casinos de Las Vegas... hehehehe une bonne question hein... des mycoses ? des verrues ? quoi... un médecin vite pour répondre...

Je suis sûre que la prochaine fois vous allez y penser...

Je reçois depuis peu un magazine... sur les jeux et en particulier sur le poker.

C'est drôle car dans des périodes mouvementées comme celle que l'on vit actuellement avec le poker, on voit passer toujours des météorites venues d'ailleurs...

On peut pas faire de freeroll entre potes mais on peut publier des pubs sur le jeu on line dans des magazines.

Merci car je ne savais plus comment intéresser ma copine au poker mais là je l'ai assise devant ton DVD et la magie Patrickkkkkkkkkk a fonctionné...

Elle a bu tes paroles, perdue dans le blanc de tes yeux... je rigole mais c'est incroyable car quand je lui parle de poker elle ne m'écoute plus depuis longtemps mais là elle était fascinée par les blinds, relance, bluff...

Bon avouons le franchement, ton DVD est une bonne initiation pour les novices et joueurs moyens, pleins de bonnes recommandations que l'on tendance à oublier mais heureusement qu'il y a des bonus super intéressants car niveau pédagogique, nous autres, joueurs invétérés n'apprenons rien.

Par contre au niveau thérapeutique et psychologique quel apport au monde du poker ! tu vas remonter sérieusement l'entente des couples français. En effet le DVD montre toutes les facettes complexes du poker ce qui nous rend service: enfin nos compagnes comprennent comment ce jeu si simple nous intéressent tant... ah Patrick quel homme !
